I'm only going by what the mods and the caster said, so I'm not sure they're right.
According to Liquipedia, it's based on a point system, which is based on map wins. And according to that system you/the casters are correct. 2-0 win awards 3 points, 2-1 win awards 2 points, 1-2 loss awards 1 point.
OAS, TS have 9 points. They are guaranteed to go through no matter what. APH has 8 points and BRN has 7 points. The fate of APH lies solely on whether BRN can acquire more, than 1 point.
If BRN gain 1 point in this match, it will be tied between BRN and APH. I'm not sure what happens if that's the case. It may be decided with map differential or the fact, that BRN would have 1 less series win, than APH (BRN would be 2-4, while APH would be 3-3, BRN would also have 1 less map wins overall). Still not clear on that.
TL;DR: Either has to win. OAS needs to win so APH could go playoffs, BRN needs to win so that they can go to playoffs. 2-0, 2-1, doesn't matter. They need to win.
The weakest bren multiverse is Bren itself.
