if you asked him to play yoru or waylay or fade the next day do you think he'll be able to do it
like we talk about how chronicle is the GOAT flex when his agent pool is almost entirely sentinels and....viper, and people treat her like a pseudo sentinel anyways
i honestly don't think someone can be the goat flex when he's been playing the same agents for 2-3 years straight
thoughts?

When Leo left fnc, he started playing recons, he also used to play secondary duelist on gambit and early fnc + played flashes for most of his time on fnc, you don't neceseraly have to be playing different character every map to be flex but you need to be reliably able to slot in anything that team need over time

Having a raze merchant in your team it's his responsibility to play duelist when needed

Flex when it needed, and not just changing agent every map just to looks cool

I agree Forsaken being true flex. Didn't he literally play every agent but 2 in last year or before that?

hes a senti-viper who can play sova skye and breach and honestly thats enough for a flex since he doesnt really need to play anything else

For GOAT Flex I'd say f0rsaken for sure. I agree that chron is predominantly a sentinel player. But he is still one of if not the GOAT.

He has been playing anything his team needs for ages he has played almost of all ini at high level played raze jett at t1 level you only know about sentinels

Only 1Leaf comes close to f0rsaken and he might even be better just needs that international accolade.

He can play scan to a high level (His sova was amazing in Champs 24), his senti is good (chamber on vitality and vyse on fnatic). He is a cracked controller (top 10 vipers OAT imo and has played omen when fnatic needed it). His flash initiator is incredibly well recognised. Only role remaining is duelist but like every team he has played on has had a cracked duelist with a more aggressive play style so he doesn't need to play those agents. People consider flex like one map youre yoru and the next map youre harbour. That isn't necessary to be called a flex. It just means being able to fulfil what your team needs on that particular map.

The only people who I think can compete with Chron on viper are Nats and munchkin. Like others aren't as good

so ur telling me,
he played sova, chamber, vyse, viper, breach at a high level
5 agents.
just because he "played omen when fnatic needed it" doesnt mean he played it like an experienced omen player
has he ever adapted to the meta? someone like a f0rsaken has switched from primary duelist, to kj/cypher, to secondary duelist/harbor/scan ini, to primary ini, to main smokes and now back to secondary duel/ini/smokes.
chron played duelist during the dino era

there isnt much difference between agent pool btw nats and chron except sova

Your idea of a flex player is skewed by forsaken. Since PRX had so many role issues in the past with something and jingg only recently showing prominence on agents other than jett and raze respectively, it forced forsaken into more and more agents. Comparatively, when has chronicle played on a team that was so unstable roleswise where he had to flex onto anything more than 2-3 agent classes? So a flex player not playing the amount of agents as forsaken doesnt relegate them from that role.

Beyond what ppl have already said, imo there are two types of flex players: agent flexes and style flexes. Alfa and Chron are a great example of this difference. Alfa on paper plays a wider range of agents/roles, but whether he's on Tejo, Raze, Vyse, or whatever else, his style remains the same; swinging aggressively and demanding resources to take fights. In contrast, Chron may only play senti+viper, but his ability to adapt his style based on what the rest of the comp is allows him to be very flexible within team systems.

I think for more than a year now he been playing senti so you could say he has become a sentinel player than flex
