Neon in pro play

Is Neon just much better version of Jett for pro play?
If you compare Neons kit pound for pound to Jett, Neon has very similar type of kit but just much better:

Neon slide equal or better than Jett Dash. Both are get out of jail for free cards/ entry tools and I would argue slide is better because you can kill someone while sliding. Even Oping with Neon has been proven so strong, just remember texture in Toronto

Wall=smokes. Wall is still slightly better because it is also more useful for team floods.

Stun>updraft.
Neon passive > Jett passive.

And now you must question every team who is playing Jett instead of Neon in any map especially if their player is comfortable on both.

depends on the map
on some maps theres verticality neon can't achieve, icebox and breeze
and this gives you good operator lines

You say thay but which operator lines are you talking about on Breeze? On B ledge and back A on top of the yellow are the only ones I could think of. If you are going to put your awp this passive you might as well not awp at all, awp should in the hands of yoru taking aggro lines imo.

you should definitely awp on breeze its a defense awp heavy map
on B you would updraft on one of the 2 pillar things, you can also updraft on that one wall thats just on site if you want to
i've also seen jett + sage comp i forgot which team did it but it was nice
on A i agree theres fewer vertical spots but you should be awping on B most of the time
and if you take an aggro angle on B you have a chance of getting swung from window and the tunnel at the same time

absolutely, neon is just harder to play, so you can tell who are the REAL duelist players and who are the nepo players (jett players)

id argue jett ult > neon ult (free gun, good on save rounds and for opping)

neon clears. Jett cant brute force molly damage and hard entry site like neon can. Her stuns are way better for a team and synergy with other duelists in entrying other than jett. Jett is kind of a smurf agent

they're played completely differently and no, jett dash and neon slide aren't remotely similar. I think the underrated part about neon is just the run, since 2024 people have started using the run as a scouting ability while entering that breaks crosshairs while still giving you a very high chance of surviving while your teammates kill the guy. in that aspect she's more similar to waylay with the dash recall for info
