Alfajer is the same type of player as yay, cryo and demon1, except he has a goated igl like boaster who knows how to make use of him, leading to him staying consistent for SO many years unlike the others I mentioned.
That's why they stuck him on neon that one time and took him off it permanently. He's not made for hard entrying, has subpar movement on raze/waylay, BUT is an IDEAL senti/2nd duelist that can HARD carry the team w his sheer mechanical prowess like d1.
So what's my point? Well, it's that we still consider alfajer a goated ahh player (bcz he is), but so is d1 who is currently jobless. They just fit a rather niche but very impactful role, where they can single handedly win you unwinnable rounds/maps.
Teams should stop trying to hard-force meta picks basically, and base their strats more around their players strengths
