why dont they consult the pro players as to how much the agent is overpowered and shit??
i mean a pro player who plays this game for a living, def knows more about the game than these balancing teams. they buff some agent so much that its literally unguardable, or they nerf an agent so much that nobody uses it anywhere.
if they consult pro players they def will give more insights than the balancing team. i feel like they nerf to change the meta but surely this amt of nerf is unnecessary.
They will consult tenz and he will say some bs like give omen one smoke 😭

ranked will always be more important than pro play for riot
thats why i said "consult" them. they can handle ranked but they can consult pros for pro play as if they arent making an agent too overpowered.
they cant be biased and consult from 1 pro, if they do get consultations from multiple pros it will have conflicting opinions
i think agents being overpowered and underpowered is an important part of the game, it benefits those who play around it smartly (for ex. trent/free1ng tejo)
i mean surely when the balance team works, they have many conflicting opinions. they can maybe include pros like fns who will be unbiased because they suck anyways. or maybe they can include coaches?
but pretty sure balance team has a framework which they follow for balancing
unlike pros who can say anything that they feel like
i dont think there is anything bad in taking consultations, but the chances of it being useful in both ranked and pro play are very low
also they should not at all take consultations from active pros, it will always be biased
and as long as retired players go, i don't think there are many who still follow the game as closely (for example fns does not play ranked at all now) so there is always a question mark regarding how much they understand
Riot barely cares about ranked. Pro is more "important to them"

many people play ranked because of these overpowered agents/flashy agents which are fun
Its because if the game becomes too pro-centric or top-level focused then you start to lose the casual player base or lower ranked players which wouldn't be good for the game. And often times pro's opinions don't better the game.
Even if you consult them, they would often give opinions that would make the game better for the top level or pro level but wouldn't make it better for lower level players or new players.
Yk wut people should be able to vote after champs on which agents they feel should get buffed or nerfed in like those ordered tierlists. Maybe like you select 5-10 of the total and then order them however you like for buffs and nerfs.
