Not qualifying to any int. you can blame top 3 koreans teams for hoarding top talent.

G2 is bad NS is mid but DRG is great. So this statement can be true and false at the same time

You can't consider G2 an ascension team when they are the best team itw and last played ascension when memea won 2 trophies in a row

ascension teams like ns, g2, drg are practically tier 1 teams atp because all the players have extensive experience in the league
losing to teams like envy, pcific, ulf, varrel, and to an extend bbl is embarrassing cause thats practically a tier 2 you just lost to

i don't get why people discredit everyone from tier 2 when LITERALLY most if the fix threads involve players from tier 2

like what

Well I mean if you were given a chance to skip over tier 2 because you were seen as good enough then its going to be pretty embarrassing to lose to a team that didn't take those short cuts and grinded to tier 1.

Also the main topic is about VIT, two literal b2b world champions getting smoked by a team that came from ascension is kind of crazy to some regard.

some tier 2 players are better than tier 1 players no

Yes but this is like a pro football team losing to a college football team

Well I mean it's also because unfake is already familiar with the team, its not like some random dude they picked up who had no chem with the team before

Why are we acting like Yoru can't act like a initiator basically lol, plus he doesn't play yoru as an entry either so it doesn't really mean anything

a tier 2 player on a roster with 4 other players with tier 1 experience will have a much better time getting used to tier 1 than a roster of 5 complete rookies

doesn't that mean BBL's coach is good

good point, i thought we all basically agreed before already that the gap between tier1 and tier2 is small, maybe even non-existent in some regions and teams

Let's take a look at it this way. We already know orgs within franchising are paid a stipend to maintain and build upon/continue their eSports operations AND orgs also get a classic capsule which can be a large source of revenue. Most ascension teams on the other hand aren't rewarded as much and probably don't have the infrastructure or support to offer the players that franchising orgs do (though there are definitely exceptions to the rule).

It IS stupid to write ascension teams off as "tier 2 so they shouldn't win" but there's definitely an advantage to be had by being part of a franchised team, be it being paid league minimum or eating better or whatever other boons you gain from being part of the franchising system.

Honestly I think keeping this narrative makes games more interesting, it's like climbing a tower and the each floor presents more difficult enemies. idk. Just my thoughts. 67

imo everyone has equal chances in fps games and it's valorant, rng is much more rampant so anyone can beat anyone on any given day meaning tier 2 teams can in fact beat tier 1 teams

Honestly I don't blame them if we're talking about some of these new Ascension teams, the fact that an org like ULF is in val esports and not Team Spirit is embarrassing. The changes coming in 2027 are much needed.
