I didn't watch any VCT CN game so far this year so I'm asking anyone here that watched the blg match for an answer of this question
the whole team's a dumpster fire. dropping him would only be a band-aid solution for the terrible macro and follow-ups on calls
so should everyone be dropped is the question
and who are some good replacements (if possible pls give me names tytytyty)
no they just need to get on the same page. even with Bail they were degenerating come the end of their run in champs. their game against AG was both uninspiring and not cohesive at all. it didn't help that AG actually has good macro and ideas. they COULD just keep Nephh Rushia Whzy and start again but that would just be a waste of everyone's time when their problems potentially could be solved very easily with a good week of improvement.
nah there's already a very good case to make that the current crop of former middle-pack CN teams already showed enough potential to carry the region to new heights. DRG and XLG didn't skip a beat, EDG's having a resurgence it seems like, and AG TYL and JDG all look like they can soar in results if they keep showing good stuff. CN right now already looks way more competitive in terms of every team's floor and potential ceiling. TEC and BLG are the only teams that looks miserable rn. NOVA gets some leeway they do have potential to not be egregiously bad come split 1 imo
that would require 2024 EDG form, which I don't see any teams barring EDG (obviously) and XLG achieving. I do believe that whoever qualifies can make it out of the first stage though (DRG, EDG, XLG, AG, TYL). the floor's increasing rapidly
if u want to fix blg quickly, drop all 5 players. they are all the problem. All 5 members of BLG with the exception of bud can easily find their spot on another team, its just together their macro and micro is terrible. Idk why it was this bad, because in vct cn stage 2, 2025. They were easily the best team in CN but then they went to champs and literally overnight became awful.
Whzy went from top preforming duelist to a duelist that has had 3 straight awful games, a drop worse than FPX life had.
Knight was never a heavy fragger and was more always a vocal utility player, but his value on this team is pointless
Rushia frags well so I cant complain too much
Nephh frags decently, but either his calls have been completely awful overnight OR blg as team cannot execute what he calls properly.
I know nothing about Bud, but when they had levius it was falling apart anyways
but let's say the org still trusts in them for stage 1
what do they need to fix
3/5 players have to be able to frag decently well. Normally that would be Rushia, Nephh and Whzy for this sqaud so, Whzy needs to lock tf in, and become that top 3 CN duelist again
Nephh needs to improve their overall approach to the game. Too many times they just have straight awful ideas, they either dont realise their win con, they dont realise the enemies win con, or they just have an Idea so bad it makes you wonder how they are even tier 1.
They need to be able to play off each other well, sort of an old PRX problem. BLG used to be an extemely unorthodox but fluid team. They would overagress all the time, but players like whzy and rushia would just outfrag and out trade the situation that would put BLG in a number adv scenario (Which was why having knight, a good utility player was so important). However now, they have lost that. I dont know if its the trading, or the fragging in general, the calls, the utility whatever whatever, that is failing them, but it just doesnt work like it used to, hence whzy doing so bad.
This team is facing similar problems EDG did in 2025 but without the 4 superstar players that could clutch the situation despite bad Macro and Micro
for me the loss of bail had a huge impact and that's why they are failing
they need to pick up a coach from apac to help them
Losing bail is definitely apart of it, but even if another coach came in, I dont think that fixes the issue. This is huge internal issue they need to figure out. If they do, I reckon blg would easily be Top 5 in the region, if they dont BLG will keep losing.
only people from RA worth picking up is Satoshi and Midnight. I can understand picking up midnight for the viper role, then move rushia to smokes and nephh back to flex, if bud just does terribly.
Satoshi already struggled on wolves, I think you just believe in Whzy more than satoshi.
honest to god there isn't really a solution to this
the import rule doesn't help since all of the good chinese players got stolen
Muggle placing poor bud on arguably speaking the worst initiator in this meta is the real problem
I mean yeah, but also bud going like -3x kd isnt helping this case T-T
also i think gekko is worse, some teams are running breach on like abyss
I know it doesn't look good for him but he's a rookie, his team is in the gutters, his coach is a fraud and Breach is not a good agent on Split when you have Waylay as the only agent able to play off of your abilities effectively (imo)
Tbf I forgot Gekko existed but yeah he's also pretty useless
Much like #2 said, dropping Knight isn't a fix/solution as there is a lot more issues going on. Since Bail's departure they've looked a complete mess. Issues need to be solved before we consider dropping anyone BUT there is a question of BLG's ceiling in the current meta. They don't have a firepower roster and I don't think anyone on the team can play secondary duelist or Chamber. So maybe a roster change will happen sooner rather than later.
no, BLG looked like a complete mess even before bail left. Champs 2025 was a straight inexcusable dissapointment
for me there's too little sample size excluding the offseason bc idt it matters most of the time
for now let's wait and see
Hi
Knight isnt the problem
Kick Muggle
Make upgrades (the team reached its ceiling already)
Best regards
