I genuinely believe they had a good chance at making playoffs considering how they played even with Demon1. They would have destroyed T1 and hada way better chance of winning their 2/3rd games
all the rosters below the previous season's top teams barring TEC have all made upgrades or changes that make sense (ignore OBONE). Things are looking up + champs last year was a uniquely SHIT tournament due to the circumstances and BLG fumbling the most massive bag ever seen in tier 1
if my life depended on OBONE not going negative in a regular season series I would swiss cheese myself to save the trouble
but so has every other region bar maybe emea. and the top tiers of the region dont look that good. only someone solid b tier - low a tier teams in like edg, blg (if they dont continue on the downward spiral), fpx, xlg, drg and maybe wolves. no ground breaking teams that look even top 4 material at least on paper alone. They could always have some EDG Champs Magic where suddenly they have incredible macro and micro
it's important to think about the fact that both DRG and BLG did look like they had extremely good shots at making deep playoff runs before champs with how they were playing domestically. i think hindsight is warping your perspective of how they actually looked. it's getting the pieces together in high pressure environments that created the spirals into mediocrity that plagued 2025 (TE, BLG) and the fact that debilitating issues happened at times where it was detrimental to their growth (DRG, XLG, EDG)
