So my friend been slandering persona (mainly persona 3 reloaded) and even though it's not my favorite game of all time I can't stand having persona slandered, his main argument is that the "animation is bad" so gamers come and make some arguments that I could use against this guy (he js played expedition 33 and enjoyed it a lot too so use that as you like). He also says that the budget difference between E33 and persona is what disappoints him the most which I find kind of dumb.

Just shit talk his favorite games by nitpicking small things like he is doing or just don't care, ignore him and enjoy your games.
I (never having played a persona game) have always thought the animation style and visuals are just the style of the game
they are in fact to the degree persona 5's style is one of the main things people praised about it
all new gen gamers care about is animation and visuals,
story and gameplay is what matters mostly.
