it gets carried by having a S tier power system and a good premise and generally good design it feels like a manga made by a artist who should've stayed a artist

True and also if it's all time then it's top 3 most popular anime oat. It's honestly more popular than one piece globally. At it's peak it was bigger than even anime. I still remember kids in my class talking about it when I was very young and I even bought a CD of it but it was a non canon movie. And at that time almost no one used to even know what anime was where I live. Only less popular than dragon ball and pokemon globally. Maybe beyblade but beyblade is honestly more popular cause of the toy.
I've watched it and read the manga when I didn't feel like waiting for the ending.

it's a show for kids/early teens mostly. Many of us watched it when we were young and started watching anime
OG Naruto was perfect, every Shippuden arc apart from the Hidan arc and the pain arc was mid to ass ESPECIALLY THE WAR (moments merchant)

No it is true, half the arc was reviving all the old characters and having moments with the majority of them being boring and meaningless except for zabuza apologizing and itachi (even though they eliminated kabuto when they finally decided to do something with his amazing character). Then Madara just aura farmed, Obito was revealed then got packed by Kakashi and faded into the background behind Madara aura farming again. Guy used 8 gates and LIVED, whole world got beat because they could not beat Madara so lets introduce a whole god which only Naruto and Sasuke could seal away coincidentally, and have Naruto and Sasuke fight again even though Sasuke killed his brother which was his whole motivation but whatever cool fight.
No it was great, rewatched it abt 3 months back, not a single bad arc, most characters were used and well written with their own motivations and personal arcs, and it was short and sweet with the sasuke retrieval arc being the best arc in the series imo and ending the perfect run.
Dialogue is dog shit in og but it make sense because it's old i am not saying the arcs or fights were bad if it ever gets a remake it would be amazing but for me it was a hard rewatch
Tbh I started watching it when I was 18+ and still loved it. Great anime. Period.
It was good until after the chunin exam arc tbh after that it just went down hill especially when the powercreep started hitting and they had to start introducing bs powers to make naruto strong enough
