not really, some teams get better, some teams get worse
I think we're just excited for whats new and it will always give the impression of "new = better"
but its just different teams in a different meta
nobody said that 2023 bruh everybody knew there was like 4ish contender teams and then EG
If you scroll all the way back to the end of 2022, you will probably find people saying that VCT 2023 is going to be the most competitive, especially with the hype of the new franchise system and the international leagues
ill take your word for it, but i recall thinking that 2023 teams were kinda shit except for PRX,FNC,LOUD, and NRG(who fell off)
EG was shit then became super good so during 2023 i didnt think they were good until they got to tokyo
People were excited for C9 yay, the new LOUD, NRG was optic 2.0, Fnatic new team, PRX, NAVI was FPX with Cned instead of ardiis now, DRX was still good, new Sentinels with Sacy and pANcada (recent Champions winners), China Region, 100T off season, Team Liquid, Leviatán scrim demons...
My point is not the quality of the teams during the year, its all the hype before the season starts about everything and how that happens every new year
In my opinion, the teams were very far from shit in 2023 too, VCT 2023 was one of the best years, especially in terms of storylines
And you can make a list like that for every year with the new roster changes to hype up every season, VCT 27 will be called the most competitive year by the end of 2026 too
With allat being said 2026 is going to be the best year because MIBR is winning all 3. #SomosMIBR #MIBRJoga
ik ppl are saying this is obvious, but i get what u mean. i dont really see a weak team anywhere. most years you can say, "oh yeah fur, mibr, kc, dfm, etc will be weak teams once again", but most teams this year are staacked overall.
