Imo I think it's best for players to just ignore their haters since its the opinion of teammates/coaches that matter but even if you can't at least manage that I don't think it's at all realistic to expect people won't hate on you (even chron/aspas get hate). Most of the hate here is braindead baiting but when we aren't baiting then its because a player is legitimately playing awfully, even if the criticism is not "helping", it is still true and valid it's not our job to help players improve anways.
As a player regardless of whatever value you may think you have, you need to have some awareness of why people are hating on you. Like do you think people hate net because he's a terrible person? no, no one cares to know about him beyond his play and people's assessment is negative because he doesn't perform well. Like being hated on sucks and hurts but it is only natural for people to have those thoughts. I am not going to be thinking about how kind Icy is as a person when I see him go double negative, I am going to be thinking "wow he's playing like ass".
Sports isn't just something you consume but also something you discuss with others and naturally you are going to share your opinions including the negatives ones.
