1)Jawgemo 7.5/10(At times looked like the bestp player in the world but other times he looked like a clueless chicken)
2)Trent 9.5/10(GOAT initiator of the year he had better stats on Sova and Fade than Tejo btw)
3)Valyn 10/10(Lowkey he one of the best and most consistent smokes players he did it while igling )
4)JonahP 6.5/10 ( Considering how well he played in 2024 I expected way more from him)
5)Leaf 9/10(He was a top 3 sentinel but considering how badly he choked in the most important moments internationally ya)

What do you think ?

and 7th - 8th in champs also isnt an easy feat too
and it was considered an upset too when they finished 4th or 7th - 8th

yes they were the most hyped team of the year (just like 2024) but constantly 'underperformed' - but at that point, is it underperforming, or is it just performing, since they never end up winning anyway?

This is simply false. When were G2 ever the most hyped team in 2024? That title belongs to NRG and LEV, even if you don't like the team it's unnecessary to spread such falsehoods

i really like the team, but when they never meet expectations, shouldnt we lower our expectations? they were a "favorite"/candidate to win for every tournament they went to

It's fair to state they favorites for every tournament in 2025 specifically but nobody truly rated G2 that high in 2024

at least for Shanghai and especially Seoul they were HIGH on everyones radar

You are just rewriting history, absolutely nobody expected them to even qualify for shanghai. People thought they could go be decent but they weren't really considered favourites to win the entire tourney, especially considering they were never even able to claim 1st seed regionally.
