the dueling dinosaurs paper releasing on halloween was lowk crazy, i was with people in my research group as we found out and the collective freak out was nice.
the dueling dinosaurs is a fossil found in 2006 of a small sized tyrannosaur and a triceratops locked in a fighting position, and the recent paper not only confirms that the tyrannosaur is 100% complete, which may be the most insane thing ive heard literally ever (for references, for fossils that lived during a similar time period, 60% is considered great already). until 2024 it was caught up in private collections (hate billionaire fossil collectors icky) and couldn't be studied.
the paper also confirmed the tyrannosaur was a species that had been debated as being a juvenile tyrannosaurus rex for years.
did u know that winning the 2nd round of each half is more important than winning any other round including pistols since that round starts the snowball of whichever team wins said round?

As Pujan is about to leave the prac room he notices a a few keys laying on Sam's table. He takes out his phone from his pocket to try and call him but realizes that it's dead. Since Sam had already left more than an hour ago he thinks to himself Sam must be really pissed having to wait outside our apartment for so long. He locks the door and leaves, but as he is making his way through the building lobby he notices a familiar figure standing by the window looking out.
"Sam, what are you doing here? I thought you went home already", Pujan asks.
With a sorrowful but intimate voice Sam answers, "Just collecting my thoughts. You know Jan. Sometimes I think to myself that everything would be so much better if we could just be more honest".
Pujan makes his way towards Sam and notices that it's pouring outside. He sees a cat trying to avoid the rain by staying under the entrance of the love hotel on the other side of the street.
"Be more honest huh? You know I always try to be as honest as possible. If someone does something wrong I tell them how it is", says Pujan.
Sam turns around, and as they lock eyes, Pujan notices Sam's beautiful dark eyes and his expression of yearning and angst.
"I didn't mean it like that. I just wish we could be more honest. You and me. About our feelings. About each other." Sam says.
"Is everything okay? Pujan asks, finding himself slowly drawn closer to Sam. Sam is the first to break eye contact, his gaze falling to the ground. As Pujan moves ever closer to him Pujan begins to sense a feeling that's unfamiliar to him. It feels as though thousands of butterflies are fluttering around in his stomach. He also notices that Sam is nervously fidgeting, reassuring him to keep going.
"Aren't you tired Jan?" Sam asks, yearningly.
As Sam asks this question, with a hint of affections in his voice, he turns and looks out the window once again. As Pujan follows his glance he notices another cat joining the one already under the entrance of the love hotel. As they cuddle up next to each other a feeling longing and desire wells up within him. In that moment Pujan wishes for nothing more than to be one of those cats. And as this realization dawns on him he becomes ever more assured of what he wants to do, about the situation he currently finds himself in.
"I am, Sam. I am really tired", answers Pujan.
"Then how about we just stay there, at the hotel tonight, together.

inside the hollows, the enviorment constantly shifts, be it ether concentration, or fissure locations (which still has to do with ether concentration but i digress)
the hollows also have a special kind of lifeform, the ethereal
an ethereal is an biomass (be it plants or humans) corrupted by the hollow into monsters
there is a group worshipping the hollows, called: Exaltists
they think that humans and the hollows only truly can coexist when everyone is an ethereal (i think, based on my understanding of the story)
outside the hollows there is a civilization, known as humanities last stronghold against the hollows, called: New Eridu

The hollow zero disaster
hollow zero is currently the largest hollow, it formed in the center of Eridu and spread rapidly, many people of Eridu lost their lives because of the disaster, be it through corruption (turning into an ethereal) or being attacked by an ethereal
since hollow zero is the largest and one of the oldest hollows that we know of, the ethereals inside got stronger with some even gaining special abilitys (example: geppeto and ninevhe)
