What is your definition of a Superteam?
In my opinion a superteam means all 5 players can be considered/argued to be the best in their role. Fnatic 2023 is the only superteam that has existed in history. Not MIBR team that is being constructed and not Lev in 2024

Chronicle - Top 2 flex
Leo - Top 2 initiator
Alfa - Top 3 Senti
Boaster - Goat IGL
an Americas example would be:
Valyn - IGL
Leaf - Senti
Aspas - Duelist
Sacy - Initiator
Ethan - flex

that is a pretty bad example of a superteam if we are going by that definition even 23 fnc was not a superteam
at least 3 international winners who are top5 itw in their role, INCLUDING THE IGL!!! IT CANNOT BE A SUPERTEAM IF IT DOESNT HAVE A PROVEN IGL
I'm not arguing either for or against PRX being a superteam but that definition doesn't stick well in practice because there are a bunch of insanely good players that haven't won a trophy. Like you could have:
All on one team and none of those players have even won a trophy yet you are telling me, we wouldn't call them a super team?

prx have had the same core for years, they've built upon a foundation, not brought in 3-5 superstars into the squad and rolled with it

btw by that logic we could say the same shit about 2023 FNC since they had Alfa, Derke and Boaster before even bringing Leo and Chron. Idk if people considered them a superteam back when they first formed but I know people nowadays use 23 FNC as the textbook example of a super team.

team = a group of players forming one side in a competitive game or sport

individually they don’t really have the best players in the world
i’d only consider skuba a top 5 sentinel and ethan’s insane as an igl, but the rest… i think they just hit a really high performance peak at the right time
I think it's crazy to say NRG was a superteam. They were an incredible team but I think when you call a team a superteam it's not only because they won 1 tourney in the year. By that logic arent EDG and EG superteams in their respective years?
i think a superteam is a combination of top players (not top 1-3) but top players all in one team
for example this years vitality i consider a superteam because you have
derke (top 3 duelist)
chron (goat flex)
jamppi (good igl)
profek (good smokes player, went insane in stage 2)
sayonara (top prospect)
superteam is relative to the time; while in hindsight fnc 2023 looks like a superteam back then there was no argument of boaster being the goat igl - fns, saadhak were ahead, alfa was an upcoming rookie not the best in the role
also in general when we talk of superteams we mean two or three super strong players being bought and a team being assembled
A proven IGL with very high praised proven talents, that are top 1 or 2 in their region in their role per player,and an agruable top 3/4 intl. and have at least 2 trophies and 1 more gf appearance in the team, although i want to add that a superteam doesnt need to have all 5 players be on the same level such as last years vitality where derke and kicks werent comparable

To me, a the creation of a superteam is when you drop 3+ players, get at least one from a different region (can be a VCT or VCL region), and pick up someone who has won an international event.
