Every since the end of stage 3 he just hasn't been the same player. And I'm not just talking about his performance these past few matches, the difference in his ranked gameplay this past month or so is palpable, and it honestly looks like his passion for the game is waning a bit. Even though it's clear Envy's gameplan doesn't rely on cane popping off like it used to, if he's gonna keep playing like this I fear the grand final against TSM is probably just gonna be a repeat of today. Pretty unfortunate considering egg, who was underperforming for much of his pro career and arguably holding back the team a bit, seems to have finally escaped his extended slump this past month and has started playing like himself again. My point is, If those two can stay locked in at the same time, I don't think Envy can lose, but if cane can't find his footing again the team might be doomed.
Also, despite my observations here I obviously don't mean to judge cane personally at all, and I only wish the best for him and Envy. He's young and the stresses of pro play that plagued eggsterr for the longest time might finally be getting to him too, none of one of us know what's going on behind the scenes after all.
