3 months is a sufficient amount of time for rosters to be built and prepped for the season, plus there are still like 6 or 7 off season events that take place throughout those months along with ascension and GCC.

i would argue non champs teams need that much time to not only give players and coaches rest but to have enough time to reevaluate or rebuild their teams if need be. offseason events start by november which gives them opportunities to get into one or two of them and get reps in. if they dont make use of their offseason, that's on them.
