Its widely known that LCK and LPL run league so sadly I fear we may never see a western team win during our lifetimes.
Lck only this year especially. League has never been an competitive esports at the top level like in terms of teams that can win like at max generally 3-4 teams are competitive against each other for a trophy. But at least it used to be lck vs lpl but this year lpl has looked the worst it has looked in like a decade.
So if you love watching competition between different regions then this worlds might be a skip especially if you are used to val esports.
Damn that makes me sad. For league, I only really watch Worlds, I remember watching worlds last year and it was really hype. I was looking foward to this year's world too.
if emea had %10 chance to win worlds, heretics would be winning champions %100
Did EMEA and NA give up on League? It's always China vs Korea in the Finals for so many years, right?
It's a miracle how league esports is the biggest eSports in the world. West and any other regions are ass compared to lck and lpl. And lpl is degrading as well. The competition is so bad at top level. It's like val if only fnc, prx and g2 were competitive at top level. With lpl dying from where the most viewership like 90% of total viewership come from, league esports is going to go in a serious decline. This is good for val at least. Val has chance to be the biggest eSports itw if it can attract the Chinese league viewership.
I'm pretty sure League will die eventually and Valorant will take it's place. Riot probably had all this planned out for the future.
it is a genuine 0%. Im cheering for the west because of pure copium (as a matter of fact eeryone is). even the lpl is like a 10% rn cuz of like fearless draft and how they keep on coying korean drafts. LCK is harder than worlds fight me
