kpr is a way better metric, just have a round minimum to filter out stomps
the longer the game goes, the harder it becomes to get more kills because of the exhaustion and the enemy team adapting and the overall pressure
Its very common to see pros hit 25/30 kills and then stop getting kills for multiple rounds. The 47 kills game from aspas for example, he had 30 kills already when it was 12-6, he stopped killing and LEV stopped winning rounds, then he got 17 kills in OT 19-17, thats 1.4 kills per round in OT
This EMEA game for example ended 25-23 and the player with most kills has "only" 42:

it's still easier on average to get more kills the more rounds there are and I'm sure the stats would back it up
obviously kpr is a better metric for seeing how good people are, but kills are definitely a more important "achievement" to compare for fun
It’s just a shit metric though, it’s more based on who played more matches than skill
Reminder than victor has more international kills than chronicle or sum shit
aspas had 0.97 kpr in champions, goat
