Help on MC house

I need help on which blocks to use that complement smooth stone . I have alot of smooth stone smelted to use for building a house but haven't really gone too far into thinking what other materials to use for it, I tried pairing it with Chiseled Diorite for the walls but instead it looked like DanTDM's old Lab building from the outside. Anyone got any ideas?

Smooth stone is a hard block imo, but try some stone, smooth stone slabs, smooth stone stairs, polished andesite for a lighter build (maybe even granite)

I would also look at Tuff variants, one of the darker woods, Blackstone variants, accented with amethyst maybe?

I will try the polished andesite but the Tuff variant's are difficult to get especially when we haven't found any dark type woods yet

Tried looking I guess if I had to pick something it'd be polished andesite but nothing works crazy well

the snow seems to be too white for me, But will be currently trying out the teracotta and quartz on creative
