My enjoyment of it will entirely depend if T1 makes it out of play-ins
If not then I guess I’ll just be rooting for BDD and Flyquest

Yeah. But has the potential to be the worst world till date. Might even be the last worlds I watch too. Lpl decline and then val taking over will be fun to watch in future. Hopefully val esports in china gets big tho and not dominated by mobile gaming scene.

Yes but soon korea will be the only good region so it becomes less of worlds.

leagues hardest trophy to acquire these days is the lck trophy LMFAO

True and I have heard from some Chinese fans that lpl talent pool is dead and the popularity of the esports and investment is also going down. Especially if lpl doesn't win worlds this time in china which is very likely to happen then lpl is doomed. Maybe it will last like 2 or 3 year.

Also China had an insanely embarrassing champs but if they manage to improve and again have another massive win like edg champs then it's likely that val will become the biggest eSports over league.

Val needs to have the casual popularity that league had at its prime to be the biggest esport. league had like a consistent 100m players a month at its prime for some time. Rn its just a ranked fest with very little content to farm.

also yeah league as a game is dying. no 16 year old wants in the west wants to play league of legends. they all want to play fort/rl/val/r6 etc. The average age of the player base keeps on rising and at some point people will have to quit because of the responsibilities they have to take. unless riot comes up with some god brilliant marketing strategy, league as a game will die in 5-10 years.

I mean game is still big and will survive for a long time as long as china is playing it. Mainly talking about the eSports scene. lpl dying means the viewership of league can be converted into val which will make val the biggest eSports in terms of viewership at least. Like worlds last year had 6+million peak viewership globally while 43 million peak viewership from china alone. Imagine if even half of that 43 million viewership gets converted into val viewership.

Unfortunately tho there is a chance mobile val will become bigger than PC val in both game and eSports scene. It had apparently 70 million pre registration and mobile gaming dominates in china
