with XLG win against sentinels, if drg lose today against g2 (very probably), they will get worse place than xlg so they will play ascension, so sad

Very sad that the league operates purely on money :/ imagine u get up from ascension u get #1 china at your first stage(1) clapping the defending champs 2:0 then u go to masters and have to face sentinels g2 then you get #4 china losing to again defending champs and then u get prx sentinels AND u are about to be relegated it's crazy
No it's a good thing to have partner team, it allows smaller market to still have representation, and not getting snowballed, Japan could have disappeared if no partner system. But maybe 8-4 is the good balance to avoid the current problem
Do you really think DFM or ZETA would manage to not get relegated ?
We saw how it went in LoL when APAC region when SEA -VN fuse with TW, TW just replaced everyone split by split

I think G2 is gonna let them win so that xlg and drg can meet in playoffs :)
g2 loses to drg, they both make it out of groups, then meet in lowers to decide who goes back to tier 2 :)
