I can agree on the G2 take. G2 are so well-put together and Leaf looks like he hasn't missed a step since he rejoined post-illness. TH have the firepower, but the mentality is so easily collapsed and some of the strategies could honestly be polished. I will say that T1 has the same capacity as TH to bomb out. My reason for this is that Buzz and Stax can easily let a few things stress them out especially if it is just not their day and they can't hit most of their shots. DRG, whilst I want to give them huge kudos for making it to Paris, they are not the most difficult team to beat especially since most CN teams don't follow the map macro. I can see DRG vs TH being akin to FPX vs TH last year where it is just insane aim duels, hero plays and an overall banger. TH should have the capacity to beat DRG.
i mean if th have the mentality, we can even finish first in the group, but I dont think the mental issue will be resolved so quickly...
I agree. TH last year had the mentality and went all the way to a grand final map 5 with a winner's mentality. Last year, they had little expectation so they had less pressure on themselves to succeed early on. And once they knew they could go the distance, it fuelled their desire. I think after losing in a grand finals many times has kept their hunger alive, but also put a lot of pressure to meet last year's standard. The expectation is higher and the young players look like it is affecting them in some ways - particularly Miniboo. He looks a lot more serious and whenever something bad happens, it looks like it hurts him a lot.
nah they might lose to G2 but if TH lock in I think they can easily beat the other 2. I'm thinking since they barely got in, they're gonna really practice hard and become really good.
If they can’t beat DRG or T1 they can’t beat anyone at champs wdym. If you think that it has nothing to do with the group you just think they’re the worst team at champs

DRG ofc is not better than EDG or BLG for reach grand finals but can be better than TH

i feel like everyone thought TH would bomb out of champs last year aswell? like everyone was saying SEN GENG making it out of the group TH looked sloppy going in losing to VIT and so everyone was saying they would get grouped?
TH have always had a bad mental??? do you all forget the fucking G2 ascent comeback? the reverse sweep vs fnc, the fucking COLLAPSE vs prx at madrid???? when TH are losing they SPIRAL, and they ALWAYS have, its not some brand new thing ppl didnt know about before this year
