so many teams have replaced sova with skye or kayo, sova is not essential if your gameplan is good enough without him, he is still overwhelming and too easy to get value with, his drone should be nerfed/removed
skye can easily just do fine, you can also combine skye with kayo on breeze to add a little more to that synergy
brother hit the reply button under the comment you wanna reply to or its gonna be too hard to follow up on your answers, skye could do fine solo, i pointed out how good of a synergy she can build up on that specific map along the likes of kayo, but haven without sova is good replaced by skye
so far, there's no replacement for what he does (the way he gives info), not talking about the type (initiator).
watch vision striker on haven, acend on bind, not played on split or fracture, must pick on ascent/ice/breeze imo. Dont think he's op but u can compare him to viper/astra which are must picks on their respective maps doesnt mean their op it just means no one can really replicate their role.
Sova is the best anti-jett op agent there is, and probably the best initiator ult (people can see them coming and maneuver away from kayo and breach ults)
There's no other agent with the same kind of info gathering (wallhack) and damage abilities so yeah, he's kinda irreplaceable. Until we get another agent that includes the recon mechanic he'll be the go-to agent for most comps.
You can "replace" him on maps like Icebox like FPX did in the last qualifiers.
But I think that is really far from being optimal. I think Sova is actually a must on some maps if you want to perform well at tier1 actually.
Wallhack every 30 sec looks fine to me and the Drone could be harder to destroy and it should automatically tag anyone you see.
