Sato, keznit, and oxy have all been WAAAAAAY better this split

sato i agree, i meant NA mainly. oxy is the definition of inconsistent, and keznit has barely played duelist this split.

Keznit has played mostly duelist this split what are you saying. He played skye once and omen once. And oxy isn't inconsistent he's young and learning. Mada just hasn't been better than him he was great in kickoff then slowed down a but which would mean he's the one who is inconsistent

dante is their primary duelist, but yes you are right keznit has played more duelist, i recalled he played more flex.

oxy is a 2nd year player now, he either performs or doesn't. just look at today vs sen. he had an absolute stinker. yet he can farm the lower tier teams in NA.

mada might be older but hes technically a rookie, has been the most consistent player behind s0m throughout the year on NRG and has showed up in big games like hes doing today.

not gonna argue an opinion, all are great players but at the end of the day results matter and all players u mentioned are not making champs, nrg if win today have a very good shot at.

Dante being the primary duelist doesn't mean shit

"he either performs or doesn't" yea no shit and the last times he played g2 and sen he was the only one on his team to play well proving he can play well against better teams even if he team doesn't show up

Just cuz Mada is the second most consistent player on his team doesn't mean he's consistent lmao. Heat is the second best player on furia so he's good according to your logic. Wallah ur dumb asf

Kru and c9 are above nrg in champs points and team accomplishments don't make you a better player.

Lastly, its nice to see nrg playing better and seeing Mada look comfortable again, but don't just say he's better than ppl who have been performing.

mechanics wise Sato is the best but mechanics isn't everything, so he's below Zekken/Jawgemo

There's a bunch of really solid duelists in AMER, they're just all a tier below zekken. You can rank Jawg, Mada, Sato, Aspas and Oxy all around the same level.

I’d take Oxy Cryo or Sato over him ngl

sato i can agree with but cryo is not a selfless duelist, and oxy shits the bed in important games like today. great aimer though.

Oxy doesn’t have enough of a sample size of important games. Cryo is a duelist nonetheless.

is this enough of a sample size?

No because not all of these are knockouts. Some of these are the equivalent of c9 vs lev where oxy played fine. So if thats “when it matters” then this just isn’t true. One of these he also performed fine in? 2nd MIBR vs C9. This also just isn’t a fair comparison. Given C9 in general just ain’t a good team most of these games. Could say the same for Jawgemo in 2024 based on results when we’ve seen if anything he shows up the most when it’s important. Same for someone like Meiy on DFM. The entire idea that a player “doesn’t show up when it matters” just makes zero sense. It would make sense so oxy was less confident or showed signs of nerves but he doesn’t… he just results wise overall plays worse.

he performed "fine" in 1/9. even if u take the playoff wins hes had (which is like 3 total i think), its still averaging around a 0.9 rating.

there is more than enough of a sample size from his 2 year stint. he continues to fail to show up in important games, obviously if he had better players around him it would help but still won't shy away from the fact that he is inconsistent.

Only because 5/9 of these are cherry picked. Again if a 0.9 is considered not “showing up” Jawgemo has not showed up in important games FAR more times than Oxy even when his teams WINNING Oxy is inconsistent the same way Jawgemo is inconsistent. The same was Aspas has been inconsistent the same way Mada is inconsistent the same way Keznit is inconsistent. All of them are inconsistent apart from Zekken so using that to try to justify one being over the other is redundant. Again especially when Jawgemo actually has good teams…

these are the only 3 wins of his playoff career. in a total of 12 series, he has 3 games above a 1.0 and 9 games below, averaging around a 0.9. none of these are "cherry picked", these are legit all of his matches in playoffs or kickoff, which would be considered "important".

i agree with the jawg point i have mentioned it a few times in this thread already, i consider mada to be better than him atm.

IN North America:

  1. Zekken
  2. Jawgemo
  3. Oxy
  4. Mada
  5. Asuna
  6. Cryo

Zekken is like a smarter oxy that also has good teammates, Jawgemo plays a lot more of a selfless role on G2 compared to someone like Zekken who gets set up. Oxy might have the best aim out of all NA duelist just plays worse valorant. Mada has a high ceiling just more inconsistent than those above him. Cryo isn't worse than Asuna, I just hate him and think hes not suited to his role
