man what are these bullshit ascension rules man. Both DRG and XLG have performed considerably better in their league than other ascension teams from other leagues yet one has to go down. Both the teams have made an international each which is something other ascension teams haven't achieved apart from G2. both of them are at champs so one of them makes champs and has to play in ascension again which kinda sucks

bro lets say 100T has to play for a tier 1 slot against t2 teams, do you think they'll cleanly dominate and come back to t1 against the likes of cubert, envy and others who also play for the same spot?
100T beats any T2 team, we are not bottom of Americas. We are just consistently 5th, which is more than enough to mop up T2.

They often talk about job security with franchising/partnership but these teams shuffle rosters so often and the ascension system is horrendous, awful from Riot
only the highest rank from 2 team can keep their spot and the other will fight to ascension, they're guests team after all and having to fight t2 teams after without worrying about qualifiers is already pretty good deal
So despite both Ascension teams making it to Champs, one will still get booted to T2???

If you can't win against T3-T2 teams then how can you call yourself worthy of playing in T1?
I mean there is really nothing you can do besides expanding number of teams in the league and either way they should be winning ascension pretty comfortable if they made It to champs
I love how braindead all of you are. It comes down to Partnership. JDG and such are bad team but rich and orgs with a lot of fans. They can always pick up players from the T2 orgs. But ascenion orgs are smaller in comparison. Hence why they dont automatically get into VCT they have to fight for it. In the case they are lucky they get picked up by big orgs that arent in Partnership (like G2) This is profitable for riot and VCT ensuring longevity. Ofc in the case of problems occuring they will be kicked(Eg : BLEED) and the partnerships have an end date and they will be reconsidered and in the case they do not fit the criteria orgs that deserve it more get a chance.
bro, i get the financial side of this for sure, im just saying that the theory they have behind justifying teams to stay behind in t1 and others going down to t2 is wonky, especially in a case like this where both teams have gone to champs which is said to retain your slot yet one has to go down of sorts.
Yea but one has to go down other wise how would we get an ascension team in. If ascension teams cant get in whats the point of the t2 fighting entire year for a spot. Also in most cases since they already made champs they will go down to the ascension tourney to fight against t2 teams for the spot. This way teams that deserved to make ascension but lost the finals actually get a chance. Cough cough m80. 2g are frauds
its just so unfair for good tier 2 teams like rare atom who deserve a chance in tier 1 after consistently being the best team in tier 2 just to get cooked in grand final by either one of the best team in the league xlg/drg while dogwater teams like nova or tec can stay in the league being shit every years. riot need to seriously rework on their relegation system
