I get that there was internal issues, but they had just made top 4 and won emea kickoff after only losing to g2 and t1, the two grand finalists and then proceed to drop him. I don’t really get the thought process, surely they stick with him until they start losing despite the internal problem right? Kind of like nrg 23?

They had an ot map loss to g2, and they did get stomped by t1 map 2/3 but that was literally the best and second best valorant team in the world at the time.
It might be an awful assumption, but I think Vitality as an org forces a lot more expectation than an org like NRG. In their perspective, they lost to a G2 who just got slapped by EDG then a T1 team they already beat earlier at Bangkok. They might have dropped Trexx because they didn’t want the team to implode, but yeah.. it did
Nrg had sky high expectation in 23, they signed the second best chamber itw in ardiis and the core of the goat team at the time, and they had an even tougher start than vitality did. Also, they made their roster change after Bangkok ended and they saw the results of the tournament.
I think them losing Yay and Marved, who were their insane playmakers, for a slight downgrade and a promising player (on a different role) lowered the expectations for a lot of people, but they were expected to make top 3 and they got close (besides champs)
At the time iirc a lot of people still expected them to win or at least make grand finals that year, they started off by getting grouped at lock-in and then going 1-3 in Americas league losing to mibr, lev, and c9 who had just dropped yay and vanity
They got top 4 at lock in, plus making mid season roster moves wasn’t very popular at the time
iirc the only time you were allowed to make a change, like signing someone new, not putting in a player from an academy team like eg with demon 1, was the time between lock in and stage 1
you could honestly say the same thing about EDG dropping s1mon. a lot of stuff we dont see behind the scenes that goes into these decisions
That one is the weirdest one in my opinion. Like, 5 months after winning champs and now it’s a 1v5???
At least with the s1mon case there was a lot of things made public and why they responded the way they responded, with the trexx case it was js him getting kicked and then later on we found out that derke didn't exactly like him that much.
Yeah, I'm still wondering was Trexx being toxic that unresolvable in the team that they had to kick him out despite him being one of the best initiators itw? Did they even try to resolve it as a team? Will probably never know but team internal issues with different large egos clashing are probably beyond help anyways

Cyvoph is like the first boot when You watch a reality show he was really good but got booted for nothing also VIT didn’t have controller and still don’t have one even after all that shit happened
I don't think it was purely off internal issues, trexx put up some great numbers up there , I think the fact that their team was so flip floppy in their roles also contributed a lot like one map trexx had to play controller and on other map less was on controller sometimes kicks was on it and other times sayf was on it, sometimes sayf was on sentinel while other times less was on it and sometimes it was trexx . Do u see how bad these roles are that u are literally flipping them every map, they had to somewhat stabilize them
wasn't it same in NRG FNS said team had issue with in 4 days and after they lost team changed they did not change cause winning if they lost ealr like NRG they would have made changes early
