kinda sad for ascention that everyone knows the best on LATAM by far is LEV academy and the insane talent on that team won't even see the light of day on the ascention tournment
I know it's needed because of the investment and also that players knew what would happen when they signed for the team, but still as a viewer I would've loved to see LEV AC there
they will def have to change it.
1 of the big differences with T1 and T2 is that in T1 riot dosent need the teams the teams need riot. meanwhile in t2 riot needs the team for t2 to work. they probably see the amount of big orgs leaving T2 such as M80 and ACEND and surely they start to worry. im very optimistic that they will change t2 to make it work for everyone
To me the solution is not to promote Academic team into T1, (The goal of Aca team is to find -18 talents).
The solution to thatproblem is to ALLOW T2 team, AND academic team to participate into qualification to international event.
For exemple we need to go to 16 team to kickoff with the winner of every T2 team participate even if they are aca team (LAS/LAN/BR/NA)
And maybe for split 1 we could also invite to one of 4 regions in playoffs (only), so they have a shot for qual (Or make a tournament for this4 team featuring the seed 3 of T1 in final
yeah but for that to happens 2 big things need to change.
1 the age limit cannot be 18 anymore
2 the T2 teams need to be good enough. You wont get a envy or a e xolos every season that can qualify and even then they have to handle the pressure and if they dont qualify then nothing changes except facing better opponents. they will still be playing in T2 where the orgs are losing a shit ton of money
but i like your idea it seems intresting. more chances for underdog runs
1/ You want to drop out the age limite in T1 ? I donno if thats possible or sane for young player sadfully
2/ If they are bad they wont qual, it's okay, the main goal is just to let T2 team try to let come investors
