Real. I was 250 lbs (around 114 kg) when EMEA last won a trophy, now I'm 170 lbs ( around 77 kg). Then again, I started losing weight when APAC got their first trophy lmao. The stress of APAC not getting a trophy finally went away lol.
I mean tbh I think the apac hate mostly comes from the fans that flood the chat with hate messages whenever a different region is losing to an APAC team, at the end of the day the side that is doing the best will be the side that gets the most hate and love same goes for the teams. FNC was hated on heavily in 2023, same going for SEN in 2021 - it just sways depending on whoever is winning and that being APAC atm
APAC have 2 masters trophies already, any hate APAC gets have 0 value. Trophies do all the talking.
apac has the least amount of trophies except for CN bro
emea has 4 masters (gmb fpc fnc fnc) and 1 champs (ace)
americas has 3 masters (sen optc sen) and 2 champs (loud eg)
apac has 3 masters (gen t1 prx)
cn has 1 champs (edg)
Pre partnership era doesn't benefit APAC. KR 1 international slot, JP 1 international slot, SEA 2 international slot. EMEA and NA are all concentrated, APAC was separated. The 1 KR slot was pre much monopolized by VS/DRX for every international event apart from Nuturn/F4Q 2 KR slot exception. Meteor & Munchkin had to move to JP and Saya & XETA had to move to NA to make any masters/champs. SEA scene at the time was dominated by PRX and X10/Xerxia Crws TH friend. Partnership era accelerated APAC together of SEA/KR to regional competitiveness to catch up with western region. 2024 and 2025 seen the results of it. CN and APAC are playing catch up and progress is good in partnership era.
Partnership era:
- 3 Pacific (Shanghai, Bangkok, Toronto) ALL MOST RECENT masters event
- 2 EMEA (Lock.in, Tokyo) 2023 only.
- 2 Americas (Madrid, LA) Semi recent
- 1 CN (Seoul) Most recent champs
Four Masters should mean four Masters trophies. Lock In is just a different trophy, not part of that count
