EMEA scene going down

If Fnatic slip up in their team management and mess things up,
consider Tier 2 in EMEA is already quiet, and many EMEA players are starting to quit Valorant.
Even the Tier 1 VCT events are getting the lowest viewership and struggling to attract sponsors.
If this continues, EMEA might fall into a dark place over the next five years and may never recover.

Just keep exchanging logical opinions on the thread topic like everyone else. Stop playing around like a little kid. would help.

I'll add a huge bombshell: if EMEA teams improve their scouting, they can contend for trophies again

EMEA coaches always talk about how hard it is to find good young talent these days, especially for the IGL position. That’s why they keep using old ass IGLs, because it’s hard to find better ones for the scene.

IGL scouting aside, there is literally a prime example of EMEA orgs not being able to scout: TL Serial

patitek shouldn't be cut bc he's the vibes guy, but what does serial bring to the table? literally nothing

The yt channels for TH and FNC have similar view counts to SEN and G2.

VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 1 avg. 129 791 peak 293 956
VCT 2025: Americas Stage 1 avg. 209 221 peak 390 841
I'm surprise how number in Americas going down too much as well but look at it EMEA is more than fcked

it's a clout issue imo, NAVI is literally nothing outside of CS, Apeks has no chance of surviving VCT, GIANTX are only popular in LoL, TL are absolute dookie, FUT are mediocre, and Heretics aren't the most clouted org with their operations located in Spain

Valorant in the Asian scene is booming Japan and Korea aren’t slowing down, and SEA is still going crazy on the servers.
Whatever issues are happening, it’s all on Riot, not a lack of popularity.
Even with Riot’s mismanagement, kids are still willing to play Valorant because CS is dead, and there’s no other tactical FPS left to choose from

There is more competition in the fps scene in eu than any other continent

That’s the main reason why EU Valorant is slowing down.
Young talents have many options, and if they’re thinking seriously about breaking into the competitive scene and making a career out of it, CS is the easier and more lucrative path thanks to its open circuit system.
How many chances do they get to play in an S-tier tournament each year compared to Valorant?
It’s like 10 vs 1 we know that.

yh like thats why the opposite happend in the other regions due to cs'es eurocentralism many players changed to val

at least it still better than the Pacific Tier 2. Imagine the developer itself, Riot, killing it's tier 2 by doing some dumb shit, like viewership deal with that soop shit

Korea and Japan have zero problems. Valorant is the most popular game in SEA, and players there keep playing and competing because they don’t have any other choice. And to be honest, we’ve gotten used to this kind of treatment every game does this to us. Think about other games they’ve treated us even worse.

still unbelievable to me. Imagine killing one of the most potential regions for a bit sum of money. The greed is unbelievable. And tbh, the deal is not bad, but don't do it at the region where not even 1% of the community use that shit app

Yeah, I agree that’s a dumb move. But Riot’s bias toward Korea and China is always true, no doubt. It’s all about money. They consider us a steady source of revenue with minimal effort and that's also true. SEA have no choice in Tactical FPS genre. Valorant is the only way when EMEA and Americas have many better choice to go.

The viewership is not great rn but EMEA t2 is producing the best and most amount of talent in the whole world. Comeback will have his debut in stage 2, Sayonara next year, GSR in the future and hopefully Leo coming back will increase viewership. I think there are many insane players being promoted into EMEA t1 rn so the level is slowly getting better, its just on the teams rn to use that individual talent and create top teams and not just collecting stars without any structure or caring about team building like Vitality, viewership will get better once KC/KOI start being serious and guys like xeus, comeback, gsr or sayonara grow into stars that even fans from outside EMEA want to tune in to watch
