If you watched EMEA stage 1, you would know his form was actually really good, his aim was actually at the point where sometimes he’d win a 50/50 vs someone. Obviously something happened at Toronto, idk what but something changed. I think it’s crazy that people speak of him so negatively, after he lost 2 incredible players who had been integrated into the system for YEARS, and still being able to lead them to a grand final of the 2nd international of the year. Wild that people want him replaced

I have called for his retirement after every single international event for years including Toronto but if we are being fair there is a different Boaster pre g2 and after g2 even if stats dont neccesarily show it, those with a functioning pair of eyes could tell that he felt much better individually from the g2 game onwards, sadly for him its still not enough at this level. I dont think he was that crazy in EMEA either, he was just barely functional but still way below what the minimun should be for any t1 igl

I get you have a bias because your also British but Boaster was the reason they lost that grand final and if we cannot keep up mechanically when it matters he kind of becomes a liability sometimes its not enough just to be a good caller sometimes you need to hit shots as well

All the previous winner (2024 & 2025) have good IGL that can/have decent aim. F0rsakeN, Stax, Nobody, Munchkin, JohnQT.
FNS/ange1/Boaster can IGL but an international winning team should have 5 players that can aim, it’s kinda necessary at this stage of Valorant competition.
