G2 has no X-Factor (at least in this tournament)

A team as stable as G2 is good but watching them get blasted by Chronicle and Alfajer just makes me wonder if the roster is actually good enough.
There's so many rounds where if they win a 1v1 the game is won, but nobody can do it.

players like Meteor, T3xture, KangKang, Tenz, When Jawgemo won champs he was the MVP of the finals but he was NOT the x-factor. There's genuinely something missing and this team won't win until they find it.

Yeah their players can at moments be the best in the world, but none can do so consistently or enough to really merit being X Factors they need to sign a cracked young duelist I think, it’s their only option.

nah jawgemo had an off tournment and g2 put one of the best entry and movement duelists on solo yoru. its very hard. i think theyll come back for champs

playing meta rather than comfort, jawg would dominate way more playing raze at the cost of the set strats that favor yoru

they're not even playing meta anymore bro double init yoru is not meta anymore especially not with T0jo. Its like the only archetype that isn't at least somewhere.

if they leaned into double senti or double duelist the outcome might’ve been better for them, look at the top 3 teams here.

wolves run: double duelist, double controller, double sentinel
prx runs: double duelist mainly
fnc runs: double controller, double sentinel, double duelist

g2 are the ONLY team in the top 4 running double initiator

i wish g2 could lean onto the double duelist comps more than double initiator on maps like split

i actually like the team but they deserved to lose today just for their comps
