why did they drop foxy9 for no reason???
It was not for no reason for drx. they could not find value out of him(he was so so SO bad during split 2 2024) and drx has looked the best they have in a while since dropping him.
its just real unfortunate that they have estrella on the team now
He did this last year as well. Then he disappeared vs Geng in the grandfinals, then shit the bed again vs heretics in an elim match. We just saw him melt when he was pressured, i don't think hsk and solo fixed anything. Geng's core, game understanding and general coaching is just so much better than Drx's that foxy would have to be the worst player ite to not look better than last year
yep I mean I agree that foxy9 is still very questionable when it really matters. Im just glad ash is doing better
Yeah. Idk think ash is gonna be a star let alone a superstar or anything like that but he definitely has the potential to be one of the best role players in the future. I mean he's pretty good now, so he definitely can given enough time
You watched that game and you say no reason? Y'all just be saying shit. Foxy9 is worse thas an inanimate stick in a high pressure match
I'd rather have Beyn. He's playing well and is also a hype man. Athan is never making t1 (unless he prioritizes being an igl because he's shit) so idk why you're bringing him up
isn't Foxy is better than both players as what I have seen during rounds or most matches
Foxys a bit better but atleast one's a hype man and one's simply talkative. Also Beyn is a role player and is being treated as such but Foxy9 is not but sinks lower in big matches
Termi is stupid for taking back Beyn, dropping Flashback and Foxy9 and taking in Estrella who was bad even before joining the team and now look at what happened to them.
I just hope Mako gets a better team, he's one of the top 10 players of all time for me.
newsflash buddy, flashback wasnt dropped he left the team due to personal reasons. Estrella was also signed for temporary replacement for beyn originally, but flashback went mia and BOTH beyn and estrella had to play split 1.
tbh flashback was a huge upgrade for foxy considering they were playing the same roles. i dont think DRX predicted that flashback would have so many... complications, to put it kindly, leading him to not be able to play on the main roster. foxy9 has really grown on the role on GENG though and i am super happy to see him do well there. DRX did give foxy9 quite a few chances on different roles but that stability that GENG provides was probably what allowed him to break through whatever was holding him back while he was on DRX. he showed signs of life while on DRX but he really wasn't performing on any of the roles he was put on, so I don't think this is a case of DRX not recognising talent, but them acknowledging that foxy9 was unable to perform to his best ability while on DRX. but yeah DRX management is questionable at the best of times.
yeah it seems that every player on that team is carrying a weight or pressure on their backs that none of them are able to live up to. it makes me wonder what the current roster could do if they were on different teams. especially my goat mako :(
sylvan is too good to be replaced. he is often their second best player. mako stuck to DRX for too long for him to jump to another korean team. sure, i would expect any team to want mako on their team, but now the other 2 korean teams have really good smokes players, and mako replacing either of them just doesn't make sense, even considering how good mako is. and mako only knows korean too.
maybe, but i think his gameplay would take a huge hit if he tried to learn a new language. at least initially. it really is a shame because DRX is the only team out of the 3 korean teams that is yet to get an international tournament trophy and mako was really loyal to a team that wasn't giving anything back. all his teammates seemed to constantly crumble when it mattered, and while every iteration of DRX has struggled with consistency, it has never been mako's fault even when he is at his worst. he would have been rewarded for switching rosters because both GENG and T1 would have picked him up in a heartbeat if their smokes players were not karon or sylvan or another insanely talented korean smokes player. especially after how long those two have spent with their respective rosters, and have even won international tournaments with.
yer it is hard, maybe if DRX management be like how GEN.G management is. They might at least get to playoffs of masters
