How are people valueing the region after the swiss stage? Still the weakest region? Free wins? Winning potential?
Me personally I think the region has improved a lot but none of the teams have winning potential. But hey a woman can dream

I still think TL and PRX would've gone through if they faced CN instead of each other, but there's no doubt that wolves' toppling of TH gave them momentum into playoffs
i think one of XLG and WOL can upset one, but i don't think they'll make top 4
i think it's pac > americas > emea = china
apac looks really good with geng and prx making it out of swiss with rrq still being good
americas looks a bit shaky with mibr bombing out, but sen looks good, and g2 are great
emea is kinda fallen off, with heretics playing like shit, and liquid barely not making playoffs, but fnc is still great
cn is still not the best (blg wolves was not the best I've seen, still good), but they look nice right now.
theyre dogshit, and i would never claim them to be more than that
mibr are the same, maybe even worse
china has definitely improved as a whole, most players are mechanically insane all they need is just better team play and structure.
I think XLG beating SEN is the most likely result if China were to get a single game in playoffs. Otherwise, its looking a little bleak. I think that China is probably the 2nd most competitive on a regional level behind APAC, and probably a tad above or below AMER (which yes, could make them 3rd but humor me). I think that this tournament has seen China grow on a massive scale globally. Despite trolls who say stuff like "Sen got easy way to playoffs", "TH were just trash", and "They beat TL with a sub", I think people can only discredit Chinese teams for so long. Someday, they'll have to accept that these Chinese teams, do indeed, just have some pretty cool stuff. I think seeing the growth of various teams between kickoff from now, we could see a large shakeup in Chinese teams that make Champs (made a thread earlier about this too), and we could potentially see even more China power. Admittedly, EDG is probably the only team at the moment who can be stated as a "internationals potential level winner", but I think tides may change depending on XLG's performance at Toronto. Now, of course, they could totally pull an EDG at Shanghai, but I pray that they don't.
i just got flashbanged
but i sorta disagree, edg looked flat during stage 1, i think it was for the good that they didn't make it.
First of all, thank you for not allat-ing me. Secondly, by EDG “at this moment”, I more so meant “up until now”. I would never claim that Jieni7 version of EDG would compete for an international. He’s disappointed me enough. Thus, I do agree that it’s for the better that they’ve failed to make it.
mmmm yeah makes sense.
i would rather have bad vibes with simon than mr 4/20 on yoru.
Personally, I think that S1Mon caused irreparable damage, meaning that the team no longer functioned. While one might say “they could just bite the bullet and be professional about it”, I believe that Valorant is a game that hinges on trust, and trust isn’t something you can just make up.
yeah, the chemistry disruption was kinda what started this whole debacle.
i wonder what would've changed if simon didn't blow up. would edg make toronto? would they have done worse or better than the teams there already? would xlg have to play swiss with less prac time with their new player? its quite interesting.
EDG would’ve made first seed, as the S1Mon stuff probably was around even during Bangkok, meaning that EDG probably could’ve just carried over some champs form and swept their way into stage 1 first seed.
