It's not about performance it's about money and NA has lot of money so if you think riot just gonna minus the slot from NA you are just making fool of yourself

And that's why valorant will always be a shit esport. Catering to revenue rather than prestige and competition. As if riot doesn't have enough revenue from the game itself. VCT should be their loss-leader.

Are you stupid? Did Korea not have a 4 teams in Worlds? Did NA not have 3?

The only other region that had 3 slots was EU, and they had the same results as the LCS.

Let me put this in a list so you understand why the other guy is wrongg:
Korea, China 4 slots
EU, NA: 3 slots

we live in a capitalist meritocracy buddy riot is going to make the most money whether the viewers like it or not

If the format was capitalist they would only allow NA and TR teams to play for the viewership.

If the format was meritocratic they would only allow EMEA teams to play.

It's neither of those two. It's just pandering.

Secondly, Riot would make more money by losing viewership but gaining prestige. People outaide of valo consider the competiition a running joke and for good reason, it deters people from playing the game because it looks casual friendly. Casual friendly games live from hype and then die off.

you're just dumb thats the real problem, if u think expanding into 10 regions gives you less money than NA TR tournaments that would be boring after 2 times, then you're actually just a csgo frog

Hahahahahha and you have what stats to support that? NA games 800k-1m and EMEA championship grand final 300k. This community does not care about quality nor diversity of play. They care about their favourite batchest streamer.

VCT could turn into twitch rivals and nobody would bat an eye

" NA games 800k-1m and EMEA championship grand final 300k " from which site did you get your stats?

And first of all, In the early esports scene of every game, some teams always attract more viewership compared to other teams. Even In CS GO, which is a twenty years old game still s1mple attracts half of the viewership. So, just STFU and get your facts right salty CS GO Frog

All NA team games are top. Same would happen in champions if NA teams weren't so dogshit and reached playoffs at least.

Yeah meanwhile IEM was getting as much viewership as the biggest valorant event ever, without NaVi even playing.

Man, esports is a business. Time will tell if RIot's model works or not. In LoL looks like it does, but that doesn't ensure that it will work for Valorant because of the different audiences.

Valorant is absolutely not a loss leader and you just learned the term yesterday you first year undergrad economics clown. Go away

Oh you are a clown, i see. Valorant ESPORTS is a loss leader for VALORANT. (Idk how you got that wrong) Get your shit straight. The revenue that comes from the esports is not even significant to 0.5% margins. What comes from the esport instead, is people caring about the videogame outside of the video game, creating additional interest and a long term commitment of a competitive environment.

Idiot confirmed. Loss leaders are a top of funnel product. Valorants top of funnel is everything associated with casual play, like skins for example, because it has a larger consumer base than the eSports. eSports isn't leading anything for Valorant. So by your own definition, even you know nothing. You are actually an idiot and it's embarrassing for all of us to see.

Imagine trying to school someone and being wrong. Your life is an actual comedy xD xD

The only reason valorant esports exist, is to keep people interested in the game. Not vice versa. Valorant esports are there to give a competitive side to the game, which in turn creates a more fanatical and time consuming player base. It's not the game that gives popularity to the esports (lmfao, they created a game so that they can profit of twitch subscriptions?)

Get this shit out of your head, Riot AREN'T ESL. The profits they make out of their stream revenue doesn't even come close to the revenue of simply knowing that most of that 500k audience actually spends 500+ hours on the game. And in 500+ hours you're more likely to spend money, but in order to reach these hours you need to have fulfilling goals, esports.

This is by definition a loss leader, you braindead imbecile.

And in case you wanna deny that esports are a "leader" in valorant. You better remember that this game was marketed as "esports ready", "csgo killer", "the new tactical fps era", "most skill, most blablabla". So yeah, valorant esports is a loss leader for valorant get your shit straight
