Why doesn't 100T have the map pick?

Just trying to understand the rules. Is it always a toss? The upper bracket team should get some benefit no?

you mean who gets to pick first map? it's always been a toss afaik
then again this is practically a grand final so yeah I think they should've gotten some sort of benefit

i think the rationale would be that since both teams lost one game only they should be considered on equal footing
