I remember people flocking to it and acting like it's so much better than ow2 just for the EXACT SAME OW1 COMPLAINTS to come up after a few months
imo just got too repetitive, at least in val the randomness makes it fun while irritating. ofc in rivals id expect a spiderman to beat my ass as luna, or to get grabbed by wolverine as groot
no one wants to play tank
no role lock resulting in horrible team comps in low ranks (which is most players)
these are the two big ones but then there's a lot of balancing issues like support being op so they compensate by buffing dive but then support becomes extremely miserable.
It was never considerably better than OW, people just liked it cause it was overwatch but you’re Spider-Man, and cause it was new and exciting. Couple months on the new feeling has worn off and people realised they’re literally just playing marvelwatch
