BOOM original plan was (if bleed incident didnt happen) they stay on challengers for 1-2 more year and hoping next franchise evaluation they will get included, however.... since RRQ qualified to toronto (also won vct pacific), majority of indo fanbase shift toward RRQ and roots for them now, leaving boom fanbase with few numbers
if you put it that way then BOOM still has a chance. they'll be representing the whole of SEA instead of just indonesia. Given their track record in multiple games they've already had experience in handling players from other SEA countries.

bigetron pulled out also. even though the last iteration of their roster was probably the best roster they've ever had. even toe to toe against ex-tier one players.
