Derke for Kaajak still a troll roster move?

it seemed like the worst possible decision they could make at the time, looking up in the air now. Do you guys think derke’s poor stage 1 is down to VIT internally imploding? Or would he have performed like this for fnatic if they kept him? Genuinely interested on for the community consensus on this.

derke's performance in Bangkok already proved that he can still put up great performance in another team, he just cannot step up on stage 1 when it matters
as for kaajak, i think no one would think that this roster move is dumb now that kaajak goes beast mode for the whole stage

You can frame it either way if it's true about it being financially motivated. You could say it was a decision by Fnatic to let him go (it's been known in the past year that they've had some financial struggles), but you could also frame it as Derke's decision to leave because Fnatic wouldn't meet him at what he thought he deserved as a world class duelist.

I don't think it was a poor decision. It wasn't about the player, I think they just needed a change of air and they found that Derke was the choice

kaajak is better for fnatic simply because of his flexibility

his neon is way better, and fnatic are not forced to have a duelist every map (you see that in their icebox comp)

kaajak had a slow start, but not only he perfected his yoru after kick off, he's now playing a lot better individually aswell
