how does building a pc differ from buying a new one? whats the pros and cons?

You get to feel an emotional investment in this box, to gain a reliance on yourself and pride. As months pass and you sit at that chair every day, it slowly loses its value. At the end of the day, it slaves away until its end while you whiff every shot and int.

Learning how to put one together is good in case you have issues in the future or want to swap things. You also save on labour cost from paying someone else to build it.

cant you just buy a new, prebuilt one?

Tbh if you aren't considering prices properly you can end up overspending on individual parts but it should be cheaper.

question doesnt thermal paste come pre-applied with the CPU, its been a minute since I've built my PC? Or did yours not come with it

#31

i think it comes without but uhhh why do u think that? just want to make sure

#32

cuz i remember when i built my PC i did the same thing as you and bought thermal paste seperately, but it ended up coming with the CPU in its own little tube. I think u can check by just reading what the CPU comes with or just search it tbh

#33

thermal paste usually doesnt come pre applied to the cpu but if you buy a cooler or if your cpu includes a stock cooler there will almost always be either a tube of thermal paste or thermal paste pre applied to the cooler
