Both came onto different teams as igls for the first time and one is actually a pretty good igl and the other sucks what went wrong or what is different between them?

Something that noone has mentioned yet that I thought might have an impact is the fact that bbl is 4 rookies + jamppi whereas vit was supposed to be a 'superteam' but has an igl with 0 experience like 2024 nrg maybe the people you lead as a new igl is an important factor as well

coaches on VIT probably don't help

when u have new IGL you should have experienced coach like bbl have

I was never impressed with how faded's team play in NA t2 or in EMEA t1

There is much more to a good IGL then just calling, you need to lead by good example and bring the morality within the team up aswell.

To be the pillar within the team, not be phased by downspirals etc. I just don’t see Sayf doing that ever compared to jampii

Oh absolutely but I think Vitality really messed up by not going big experience in the coaching role

It's like when you have Real Madrid, having a good tactician is not enough you need someone to control egos

Seems Vitality failed because they couldn't manage egos, maybe thats partly on sayf, but the coach job to be a leader too, and maybe thats also Sayf's fault if he was the one who chose this coach.

A lot of things go wrong there, should've been RobbieBK and someone like d00mbr00s,

I cannot comment on the coaching part since I’ve only worked with PAL from BBL and not faded from VIT, but yes PAL is a good coach and a really nice person. But a coach is not very present when you’re ingame in an official.

Idk I think you might be underestimating Pal here; he seems pretty magic to me.
Have you seen his hat?!

Exhibit A: The mom incident
Exhibit B: Sayf is very emotional (bro was beefing with redgar for half a season)

afaik, Sayf is a very emotional person, who tends to argue a lot and impone his opinion over others, and as a first time igl it CANT be good, even though he is indeed a good caller.
he surely needs more experience.

Jamppi should have just gone back to CS once he was unbanned in my opinion but whatever.

you need a guy who can control egos think of this boaster in 2023 he could control alfa derke and chron very well leo didnt really need asmuch controlling cos he just plays to perfection but he still hammered down their egos

SAYF was putting himself as like I'm gonna be an igl and go back to flex but from what we've seen from him all the time he has tried to go flex ... he has been dogshit and he has always been back to his duelist no brain all aim... which just proove from the start that he would be a horrible igl. Bro can't flex shit (only tejo...)

  • SAYF
add trexx IGL (better role better igl)

WHEREAS JAMPI IS A REAL IGL CAUSE HE IS FIRST SMART AND HAS EXPERIENCE ON ALMOST EVERY CHARACTER BRO IS A REAL FLEX

Obvious reason is personality, Jamppi is a natural leader and if I was a top player I would do everything to be on a team with an IGL like him, an IGL like Jamppi together with PAL who is also great is a perfect recipe for success, IGLs like that are worth their weight in gold both in CS and VAL.
Another one is the way they see the game, Jamppi is a very agressive player who likes to go in first and sacrifice himself even on initiator (not in a dumb way like Ange1 tho) and the way he calls is more explosive, fast, a lot of playing together as a 5 man deathball or 4-0-1 compared to Sayf, I think Sayf has a good tactical mind as we all saw the excellent macro and calling in KickOff but he is too readable, when you play a slow spread default every single round then everyone knows what to expect from you and you will get punished internationally, he also seems to be a player who focuses a lot on giving up space and playing retake or playing together at the expense of map control/info, I think this swedish style of calling doesnt work that great nowadays in both CS and VAL, specially in an arena enviorement where the games can become very emotional/momentum based and the sound is dogshit so you need to be adaptable and thrive in the chaos, sadly I always enjoy watching Sayf streams and I can say he is a bit susceptible and almost petty at times so I dont think he is the type of person to be humble enough to realize whats bad in how he approaches the game and genuily change his passive ways. He strikes me as the type of guy that will die with his fetishist way of playing valorant, u can even tell from how he peeks/holds angles that he isnt comfortable with being agressive/chaotic. If I could tell him one thing it would be to become a more pragmatic caller and stop trying to play perfect fantasy valorant and trying to make all of us fall asleep by entering site with 10 seconds left for 12 straight rounds. Not even the best IGLs in CS play like that in a game that rewards being passive way more than valorant ffs
