Champs curse is that the team that wins dissolves, no? EDG kept the same 5 players and the same coach as well
He was the assistant coach, though, so I wouldn't count it as a qualification for Champs curse
I don't know myself because I'm not really watching any of their games. From what I've been hearing, though, the issue's probably burnout—which I can understand somewhat, given they played four offseason tournaments in the two months leading up to Kickoff, but I feel there's more to it than that personally. Again, though, I shouldn't be a judge of this

the meta and game changes so much, top teams rarely stay at the very top for a period longer than roughly 3-6 months I'd say
For an example: Optic, GenG, Fnatic are the only teams that consistently stayed on top for an ENTIRE year, and even in the case of GenG and Fnatic they ended up falling off at champs (even tho GenG was probably a top 5 if not top 3 team had they made playoffs)
I'm biased, because OPTC and 23 FNC are (were ☹️) my most favourite teams
but I think they're the only ones who fit in the category, for me GENG getting grouped at Champs is a deal-breaker
Optic were: 1st, 3rd and 2nd (Plus they had a 2nd place in 2021, but they got grouped at Champs 21 so idk if that should count)
FNC were: 1st, 1st and 4th
tbf for the grouping, they had 2/5 players very sick at the time, and were still putting up a good fight
while i understand why people don't rate 2021 NV like optic, I think if they werent sick we would have seen a 1.5 year stretch of dominance

He means champs was a fluke, EDG was mid the whole of last season other than their peak during champs. And they will continue to be mid this year

It's always the fans of the teams who got beat by EDG crying. Mfs are salty lmao. Can't change the past so they must make new narratives
That doesn't mean fluke, a fluke is when a team has to play lower lvl opponents for most of their run.
EDG just on form and anti strats were on point. That's the least fluke win. They also ran the top 4 team's pockets on their run. It's a gun game and EDG just shot better than everyone else
