How did next gen not make playoffs they won more rounds isn't that the tiebreaker?
It's been always like this in every sport not just in valorant and tbh it's fair cause if you win a game against a team then you should have some advantage over that team
The rules are there from the start, it's not as if TOs intentionally trying to sabotage next gen by changing the rules midway.
It's a fucking terrible rule regardless of when they made it how tf you putting h2h first on round robin
imagine winning 2 13-0's and a loss 18-20 but you lose out on playoffs cause the other team went 13-11 20-18 and 0-13 and it's h2h first
fucking bullshit if you ask me tbh
Let me make it clear
Before the game at 10:30am GMT+7, i already asking to referee about the tiebreaker and he said:
Two-way tie
Three-way tie
At Liquipedia, CGZ already had green mark as winner of group A before round 3 (TS vs CGZ & NXG vs RVL) begin
Im a bit confused why people are upset at it being h2h
This is how we always do it in valorant for 2 way ties
I cant think of a single tourney where we had maps or round diff as the first tiebreaker
rule is dogshit, don't care if it's been like that from the start, but tbh OCE is used to getting fucked over all good 😁😁
Yall really out here calling the h2h advantage rule dogshit and not your team for losing to crest😂😂 bunch of fucking clowns
Idk how people here are not doing basic maths and understanding that head2head to decide best team to qualify from a grp in a 4 team bo1 tournament is not the right way, its flawed.
Not to forget that this rule kills excitement as group can get over as early as in 4 match in a 6 match grp while round differential means more often than not even last match would matter.
Now the maths in a group of 4 where only a single team will move ahead will never have a tie-breaker where both teams havent lost a single match . Both teams would always end up with 2-1 for the tie-breaker.
Now let's suppose Team A and Team B are tied at 2-1 and Team A has beaten Team B and hence according to H2h they qualify for next round and Team B is eliminated. But bcz Team B lost to team A it is given that they definitely beat Team C and Team D one of which in turn definitely beat Team A thus putting them at 2-1.
So by what logic is Team A a better team just bcz they beat tied team B when team B was able to beat a team which was capable of beating so called the best team of group i.e Team A. Its very clear that both teams are on equal footing and only fair way to separate them is by seeing what's the final round differential since every team played the same 3 teams and hence overall faced the same difficulty so whoever took more rounds in total - round lost is objectively the best team in the group.
Nah the ruling is fair. Crest deserves the qualification. Doesn’t make it any less heartbreaking tho
