not a political thriller but the pinguin is the best show that came out this year, 10/10 would recommend

I'm currently watching a 6 part show on Netflix called Bodyguard. It was produced by the BBC in 2018 and has been on Netflix since April 2024 (Netflix UK in case that's not clear). After having just finished watching the diplomat, I started watching this and it's really entertaining. I recommend it for sure, even though there's no additional seasons or anything.
No I promise the show is really good, the accent the mc has isn't even that bad 😭

Oh OK. He's also on a fairly new/recent amazon prime show that I didn't really enjoy but that's because I didn't like the female lead on the show. I think he's a really good actor.

What happened with the part about the security service being involved? Did that plot point just go out of the window? Why was that not tied up too? I guess they did tie it up by saying that it was a trick, but surely there was more to it. Idk though. It did feel a bit rushed at the end.
idk what a politcal thriller is but "The boys" is a pretty good politcal commentary and "How to become a tyrant" is a pretty good politcal docu-series
