Dep said he's willing to flex, do you guys think this is a waste?

I don't think so. For me, I think we should think about it this way:
Dep is willing to flex, which means he is most likely ready to learn different agents.
Besides, if ZETA get a good replacement, then I think it will just be a good decision overall.
Sure, it might not work for let's say the first year but I think we can give them time and Dep can cook.
Zeta really should have bid all of their money on Meiy and just hope yuran gets better because if Meiy can carry DFM being in a 4v5 instead of a 2v5 Japan would make another lan
I haven't seen a Japanese duelist with the same aggressive and sacrificial playstyle as Dep. Meiy is too, but he demands a lot of init skill sitting. Most Japanese duelists are half-baiter style like Demon1, Saya, and meteor when he were duelists, and Syouta is one of them, so it would change the whole playstyle of the team.
I've never noticed that about dep until now tbh, how will the playstyle change if syouta becomes duelist?
That's not a bad thing, but those types of duelists need someone to do the 'dirty job' for them. Like EG era Jawgemo.
Without such a player, the game can become rather stiff and slow. I think that's one of the reasons for slow tempo of tier 2 Japanese games.
An already slow paced team is going to become much slower. In a lot of maps dep was solo entrying
There isn't a shortage of good Japanese duelists. If his replacement can perform as well as Dep on duelists I don't see how his talents would be wasted by flexing roles
no he was some goat flex if you forgot he was monster back then his pick roll was too wide to win we needed 5 dep
Really? Even in his reject days I always thought he sticked with duelist
he was well known in jp val pro scene how good he can play any roles he just went full duelist because hes too good that no other choices was around to make him other than duelist cuz thats the most efective way to use cracked player
Back then I'm not that into the scene yet , so might be missing some old info

its not even old brother, forget how he performed godly performance on sova? he was the one who was wasted talent on duelist imo cuz he needed to carry everything without old day cracked tennn
btw Does Syouta prefer duelist? I've seen rumors that he doesn't like that much.
he plays anything brother so idk he will be take part of tennn role where he played duelist and sentinel imo
he switched to sentinel with tennn because tennn could work better in duelist.
whoever my GOAT plays for next season, I just hope he can deliver his game and take Zeta to an international event
SyouTa is gonna play senti 100%
No reason to take Dep off duelist when SyouTa is already proven while flexing to other roles
Dep should play Flex. He has been a monster duelist since his REJECT days, but he has expressed interest in playing flex agents, has done so in the past and has looked great. Hell, he had the kill record in all of VCT on SOVA.
SyouTa has been frying on duelist, and i feel like Johnta will use that potential to make ZETA contenders
Imo, this should be the roles:
Dep - flex/2nd duelist
SugarZ3ro - controller
SyouTa - duelist
CLZ - sentinel IGL
Xdll - initiator
