well he has played with russians before, his cs faceit account features ukrainians and russians and kazakhs, his name and surname are of russian descent so I think he is russian speaking
well zyppan is swedish so I really doubt he speaks russian, unless he picked it up from angel/shao/suygetsu
navi, as an org, said that the only thing stopping them from building russian speaking rosters and russian teams is
A) Transactions with a russian org (not a problem in valorant, given that there is no russian org)
B) Players who pay taxes and represent russia
so in order for navi to get a russian speaking roster they would only need cloud (or any other russian they sign) to ask all the sources where the nationaltiy is displayed to present themselves as neutral athletes (easy part) and move out of russia (hard for some).
then they would also have to find a russian speaking coaches and kc would never release enghh
might be a crazy theory, what about navi setting angel to coach and splash the cash on a strong 5th?
I mean he knows Johnta, who is the head coach of fennel in japan, they worked together in CS. probably not a good candidate, but he might be the best option if angel doesn't want to coach. Yet I still think he can pull it off
ange1 was fragging well this season and when doombros was with them he was calling great
why waste a player like cloud on igl
i personally belive he's still a top 5 caller itw and him not fragging enough was not navi's biggest issue + finding a good igl in emea is unlikely, some teams had to go for players like redgar and magnum

But the way I see it is if you're adding cloud you already have a good IGL, you don't need to look for one. you could get someone in place of Ange1 from t2, maybe someone like b1sk
putting cloud in the igl jail would be a waste of one of the best mechanical players itw imo, whether you like it or not igling does take away some amount of a players fragging ability
The way the scene is moving I think it's better to sacrifice a bit of your mechanics for better calling. I think a lot of teams will realise after TH this year that the lack of firepower can easily filled by cracked t2 young players. We've already seen it in NA
Plays smokes naturally so no need for shao to switch of initiator which he is world class at, also younger than ange1 and can aim when need be
angel can always go back to smokes + shao on smokes is still an s tier player
if they get derke they get a proper duelist and angel wont have to entry no more
