what do y’all think is the best abyss comp? imo g2/fnatic have the best comps on that map

I agree, but unfortunately harbor is such a niche agent that not maybe pro’s can play
None of them have a great comp. I feel like it should be Jett/Neon, Gekko/Sova, Breach, Astra (global smokes on a big map), cypher. No teams are really running much close to it.
Yea but not having the breach on a map where he can hit people off with his ult and just has good stun and aftershock with decent flashes just gets so much more value than the Sova Gekko.
I think breach struggles because very niche with what you said, but map is too open. Not enough narrow halls and you can side step stuns, just my take
I guess that’s fair but with how mid is long and narrow and parts of both sites are I just see more value from it than any other agent can give that hasn’t already been listed.
The G2/FNC comp has the best coverage and flexibility but requires a team with exceptionally strong attack-side defaults.
I like Leviatán's and G2's comps the most, but I genuinely don't think we've found the ideal Abyss comp yet, especially when only a fraction of the VCT teams have gotten to and will get to play Abyss this year. I'm personally seeing it go in a no duelist direction (something like G2's Icebox comp is something I could see happening on this map), but let's face it, everyone's just gonna run a DRX-style Ascent meta comp (because tier 1 teams are insistent on playing boring comps with all the same agents).

Makes me wonder how important pop flashes are when you can just use a Dizzy and Cascade to get the same effect.
Edit: you could swap out Harbor for Astra for a better A anchor and global presence and then use her recall stars instead of a cascade to get the same pop flash effect. A bit clunkier though.
Pop flashes are really good on a lot of maps but I don't think Abyss is one of them. A Main is the only place I see pop flashes getting insane value off the top of my head
Edit: honestly, you could probably run Harbor Astra on this map
No viper means less A Default pressure on attack and a weak B anchor on defense. Maybe you’d have to swap out KJ for cypher to fill those roles?
