I blame meta shift whenever a good duelist falls off in Val.

I play the game like once a month and every 3 months there will be agents either added or having their abilities changed around. If you translate that to people who play a lot and only do 1 tournament every 4 months it probably is going to be amplified.

It's still not really wrong. The vast majority of pros have played CS for a long period of time and now play Valorant professionally. Even if they weren't pros in CS they still had enough of an interest in it to make an ESEA or Faceit account.

Obviously not all Valorant pros but it's a huge amount of the franchised players. It genuinely makes sense that people who like tactical shooters would play one that was around when Valorant didn't exist and CS was that game. Theory applies mostly to players 18+ obviously as they'd have to be old enough to even have an interest in CS when Valorant didn't exist, like cNed for example.
