I think that 8-4 curse will replace the 9-3 curse.
The 8-4 curse worked so many times this season.

its 8-6 after pistol and the eco its anyone's game.
a 9-5 lead is WAY larger than an 8-6
But still, so many teams lost an 8-4 lead this season, so I thought it could be a curse.
8-4 is historically a normal half for the defense on ascent, at that point most ascent games are curses
It happened on other maps too, like split, and it has also been happening in my games, just happened in TL VS GX game
losing an 8-4 lead is completely normal because games are 2 halves
if defenders go 8-4 on 1 half
defenders should also go 8-4 on the other half
losing a 12-8 game is not normal though
none of it is a curse, just bullshit gamblors hope for. It's either a defense or attacker sided map or you have teams that do better on a specific side.
e.g. Na'Vi just pops off on any attack side, no matter if they're 10-2 down on defense
we all know ascent is so defense sided w all the op and stuff, sentinel setups you knnow
