Do TL have a actual shot at main event? there are only two spots, and I imagine a lot of teams in closed quals must be made up of ex challenger players?

Yeah, I had a look, I recognize xand and ntk, they might be a bit tough, but it seems as though TL beat a bottom challengers squad like you said. A little bit of luck and they can definitely make it.
There are a couple of things happening. Yes, TL have become stronger and stronger and I truly believe that their macro is really good. They have a good grasp on map control and they have good sinergy. On the other hand, Brazilian Tier 2 is getting worse and worse, and for a couple of different reasons. First: a lot of orgs have left tier 2 here, which led to a bunch of "fake Teams" playing the qualifiers and even making into VCB. In addition, for some reason, they kept 8 slots locked for invites/VCB 2023, even If the team had changed its line completely, and to me that's a downside.
Yeah, I'm not sure why invites aren't based on whether the core stick together, like in NA. Sounds like VCB is a mess right now.
they probably wont win a slot but goig to closed is a big achive for a gc team
